Annalee’s 85th Anniversary!

In 1934, Annalee Thorndike sold her first creations and founded the company Annalee Dolls in New Hampshire. Today, Annalee Dolls designs and sells whimsical and festive seasonal collections for every major holiday and receives pictures from proud collectors around the world. It’s really a magical once-upon-a-time story of a doll-making cottage industry that made it big. Annalee and her husband Chip lived on a chicken farm in the early 1950s. Annalee Dolls has come along way since that chicken coop in Meredith but as Mr. Thorndike once said, “There is a high energy in this company. This tremendous creative energy generates informality and a sense of humor which is incredible, and this bounces off, even to our customers.” With Annalee, you get a sense that there are no customers – only friends! That important value is still ingrained in the culture of Annalee.
